Adirondack Artisan Catering opened for business in the Summer of 2002. Due to the merger of two great culinary minds, Ruth Calderone and David Knapp, AAC is a unique business that caters to its customers in every way.
Ruth Calderone, an alumni of Paul Smiths College in Paul Smiths, New York, began catering on Long Island in the late Eighties. In 1992, returning to the Adirondacks to start a career as a Professor of Culinary Arts at Paul Smiths College, she continued catering with students of the College.
David Knapp, a journeyman electrician and all around outdoors kind of guy, started catering bike races in Greene County, New York. It was so much fun, he enrolled at Paul Smiths to develop his talents. After many unique catering adventures at Paul Smiths and a mild case of tenacity, Ruth and Dave started Adirondack Artisan Catering.
Striving to ensure that the host enjoys the party as much as their guests do, the staff of AAC are proud of each event catered.
